Introduction

In December 2008, the Telecommunications Market Commission (CMT) organized a gathering of all those that participated in the liberation of the telecommunication market in Europe. At this event, which brought together more than 600 representatives from European and American institutions and operators, we also celebrated the tenth anniversary of the liberalization of the electronic communications market in Spain.

This year we will hold the 2nd International CMT Meeting entitled “Regulation in a convergent environment”. The event will take place at the Liceu Theater in Barcelona (La Rambla, 51-59) on 23rd and 24th of November 2009. Key representatives from the sector will be participating, including the commissioner for Information Society and Media, Viviane Reding.
